Company description: | Founded in 2010, the fishing farm “Grīņi” (No. 44101036718) specializes in fishing for species like salmon, sea trout, and herring using nets in the Baltic Sea and Gulf of Riga. In 2021, a 15-year lease for industrial fishing rights on the Riga coast was secured, along with a commercial fishing license from the Ministry of Agriculture. The farm operates with one fishing boat (SG049) and two additional boats, all registered in Latvia. The owner is the sole worker, with plans to start fish processing and obtain a PVD license. Committed to sustainability, the farm installed solar panels in 2024. In 2023, the farm recorded 126 fishing days, reported to the Latvian Fisheries Integrated Control and Information System (LZIKIS). |
