MIG-TIG Ltd. 

For MIG-TIG Ltd., which carries out a wide range of welding activities, it’s important to use environmentally friendly technologies and renewable energy. Training welding students, adults, and certified welders, servicing and repairing welding equipment, as well as the manufacturing itself, consumes a lot of energy. That’s why the management decided to install a solar panel system on site to meet the company’s electricity needs. They can cover a significant portion of the costs with the successful EENergy grant. 

“It was worth submitting the application. Preparing it wasn’t complicated either, as the colleagues at PBKIK provided continuous support with the administrative tasks and managing the application platform,” said József Puska, the company’s manager. 

“This investment is a big step forward in achieving our energy independence,” added Sándor Barta, the owner of the Ltd.

 

IMG Építő Ltd. 

IMG Építő Ltd. is one of the founding members of the Construction Technology Cluster managed by the chamber. Its main activity is general construction contracting, and in addition, they also manufacture welded steel structures and build halls for both residential and public clients. 

The company wants to use the money they won to install solar panels at their site. 

We asked Gábor Molnár, the company’s project manager, why the grant was important to them. 

– The construction industry is one of the most polluting industries worldwide. It’s also important for our company to reduce our carbon footprint as much as possible. The EENergy grant is a big help in continuing the path we’ve already started, as it’s important for us to use as cheap energy as possible in our operations.

P’-AutóCity Ltd.

P’-AutóCity Ltd. has been a leading car dealership company in the South Transdanubian region for over 25 years, representing the Volkswagen, Audi, and Škoda brands in the area. In addition to selling new and used vehicles, it also provides service for these brands. With the money won through the grant, the company will conduct energy audits at its designated sites to get a full picture of the operational points where resource optimization and further energy efficiency measures are needed.

– Our company’s operations are very energy-intensive. However, we can’t reduce consumption if we want to operate efficiently, so we’re constantly looking for alternative solutions. We want to cut down our energy use in the long term, which is why the EENergy project was useful for us. Lately, energy prices have been all over the place, and we want to become as independent from providers as possible. We’ve done several similar investments already, and with the current project, we’ve taken another step closer to running more energy-efficiently. – said Mihály Liszácz, the company’s CEO.

 

Manual Fashion Ltd. 

The company’s main focus is the production of high-quality fashion leather gloves under the KARMA brand. The manufacturing process still follows the traditional, highly respected handcraft method, which ensures the best quality. 

They plan to use the €10,000 grant to carry out energy-efficient upgrades by equipping their large windows with protective films that let in light but slow down heating. This way, less cooling will be needed in the rooms, and they can use as much natural light as possible for their work processes. 

– Maintaining competitiveness and sustainability are the two most important reasons we applied – said Bernadett Schweitzerné Hornicz, the managing director of the company.

– As a fashion company, sustainability has always been important to us, and we use a lot of electricity to manufacture our products. The recent high energy prices have affected us significantly as well. Allocating external sources and using alternative energy helps us maintain our competitiveness. The EENergy grant helps us carry out our work at a high standard but with lower costs through the investment, – added the managing director.
