Benchmarking reports

EENergy benchmark reports are tailored analytical company reports that are prepared by the World Bank for all eligible clients in the EENergy project – independently on whether the client was selected to receive the EUR 10 000 or not. The reports provide a detailed comparative analysis of the information your client(s) shared during the EENergy call application stage. As an acknowledgment for sharing their information, the provided report compares their responses against (anonymized and aggregated) information of other eligible clients operating in the same sector, region, and with a similar number of employees.

The report contents could be utilized in the following ways:

• Understand your position relative to peers: The benchmark report offers a detailed comparison of the firm’s energy usage, costs, and efficiency against other firms in the sector, helping identify areas for improvement.
• Identify opportunities to improve environmental performance: The report can provide ideas for actions to take to improve energy efficiency. For example, the report highlights the most common energy efficiency investments, consulting activities, and training programs planned by firms in the sector. 
• Track progress over time: With multiple reports provided throughout the program, firm can monitor their improvements and adjust their plans to stay competitive and energy-efficient.
